Als R&D Engineer Werktuigbouwkunde werk je in Breda aan de ontwikkeling en verbetering van innovatieve teeltsystemen voor de professionele tuinbouw. Je vertaalt technische vraagstukken uit de praktijk naar slimme en maakbare oplossingen die wereldwijd worden gebruikt. Je bent betrokken bij het volledige ontwikkelproces. Je bedenkt nieuwe concepten, voert technische berekeningen uit en werkt ontwerpen uit in 3D CAD. Vervolgens bouw en test je prototypes om te beoordelen hoe jouw ontwerp in de praktijk functioneert. Samen met collega's van engineering, productie en projectmanagement werk je nieuwe ideeën uit tot een uiteindelijk product. Daarnaast kijk je kritisch naar bestaande systemen en denk je mee over verbeteringen op het gebied van prestaties, duurzaamheid, gebruiksgemak en kosten. Zo combineer je ontwerpen met praktisch testen en verbeteren en zie je jouw technische ideeën uiteindelijk terug in innovatieve oplossingen voor de internationale glastuinbouw.
