Voor een modern bedrijf gespecialiseerd in het ontwerp en de bouw van hoogtechnologische machines zijn we op zoek naar een R&D Manager Mechanical Design. Ben jij de ingenieur die wil bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van nieuwe innovatieve machines, en ben je op zoek naar een functie waar technologie, creativiteit, en leiderschap samenkomen? Dan is deze boeiende functie mogelijks iets voor jou. Je start onder een meteen vast contract onbepaalde duur.

Wat ga je doen? Als R&D Manager Mechanical Design zijn dit jouw belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Product Development: ontwikkelen van nieuwe machines en optimaliseren van bestaande systemen met focus op mechanisch ontwerp, performance, hygiëne en betrouwbaarheid.
  • Conceptualisatie: vertalen van klantbehoeften, markttrends en operationele vereisten naar haalbare technische oplossingen en aansturen van ontwerpers en ontwikkelaars.
  • Compliance en engineering: waarborgen dat ontwerpen voldoen aan ontwerpprincipes en regelgeving en machinerichtlijnen, inclusief uitvoeren van berekeningen, risicoanalyses en designvalidaties.
  • Projectleiding: leiden van productontwikkelingsprojecten van concept tot marktintroductie, inclusief bepalen van scope, planning en deliverables en bewaken van budget, timing en risico’s.
  • Prototyping en testen: coördineren van de bouw en testing van prototypes, analyseren van testresultaten en aansturen van iteratieve verbeteringen tot aan industrialisatie en overdracht naar productie.
  • Innovatie en verbetering: introduceren van nieuwe technologieën en mechanische oplossingen en identificeren van kansen om producten te verbeteren op vlak van efficiëntie, ergonomie, betrouwbaarheid en kost.
  • Samenwerking met markt en klanten: samenwerken met sales en productmanagement om klantbehoeften te begrijpen en deelnemen aan technische klantgesprekken, bezoeken en probleemoplossing wanneer nodig.
  • Je hebt een Ingenieurs diploma in een technische richting zoals Elektromechanica of Productontwerp.
  • Meerdere jaren ervaring in mechanische productontwikkeling.
  • Aantoonbare projectleidingservaring binnen engineering of R&D.
  • Sterke kennis van 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor, PTC Creo, of andere..)
  • Inzicht in RVS‑ontwerp, hygiënisch design en productieprocessen (plaatwerk, verspaning, lassen, assemblage).
  • Kennis van CE, machinerichtlijnen en FMEA of gelijkaardige methodieken.
  • Creatief, analytisch en gestructureerd, met een hands‑on mentaliteit.
  • Sterke communicator en natuurlijke leider.
  • Je hebt een goede beheersing van het Nederlands en het Engels.
  • Je bent bereid om sporadisch enkele dagen per jaar internationaal te reizen.
