R&D Tribology Internship - Careers at Kaak R&D Tribology Internship Are you looking for a challenging graduation internship that combines fundamental research with a clear industrial application? Are you interested in tribology, rheology, and material behavior? Then this internship at Royal Kaak is perfect for you. Your challenge At Royal Kaak, we are constantly working to improve production processes in industrial bakeries. An important and complex aspect of this is the behavior of dough during processing. Dough is a viscoelastic material that comes into contact with various surfaces, where stickiness and friction have a major influence on processes such as kneading and rolling. In this project, you will investigate how surface properties (such as roughness, material, and hydrophobicity) and dough properties (such as viscoelastic behavior, moisture content, and composition) influence tribological interactions. The goal is to gain insight into these mechanisms and contribute to more efficient and higher-quality production processes. You will work on a substantively strong, research-driven assignment with direct relevance to the baking industry and opportunities for scientific exploration. What do we expect from you? - You are pursuing a university degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field; - You have an interest in tribology, rheology, and materials science; - You work in an analytical and structured manner; - You can conduct research independently and report results clearly; - You want to contribute to knowledge development within an industrial context. What can you expect from us? - You will work on a challenging and research-driven internship project within a leading company with an international character; - You will receive guidance from experienced specialists in a pleasant and informal work environment; - You will have the opportunity to link your research results to practical applications within...
