Radboudumc zoekt een Research coördinator 'Dutch Randomised Endovascular Aneurysm Management - TWO trial' Functie De afdeling Heelkunde van het Radboudumc is op zoek naar een enthousiaste onderzoekscoördinator. Je zult in teamverband zorgdragen voor de uitvoering en coördinatie van de door ZE&GG gesubsidieerde DREAM-TWO trial: Dutch Randomised Endovascular Aneurysm Management - TWO trial. Dit onderzoek evalueert of bij patiënten met een abdominaal aorta-aneurysma (AAA) en een verhoogd operatierisico, veroorzaakt door kwetsbaarheid en/of comorbiditeit, de operatiedrempel veilig kan worden verhoogd naar een diameter van ≥65 mm bij mannen en ≥60 mm bij vrouwen. Hierbij onderzoeken we het effect op overleving, aneurysmaruptuur en zelfredzaamheid. Het betreft een multicenterstudie in Nederland, waarvan het Radboudumc sponsor zal zijn. De zorgevaluatie wordt in nauwe samenwerking met het Rijnstate gecoördineerd en zal in 22 centra in Nederland worden uitgevoerd. In deze centra zullen 520 onderzoeksdeelnemers worden geïncludeerd. De totale looptijd van de studie wordt geschat op ongeveer acht jaar. Momenteel wordt het protocol geschreven en zal eind dit jaar worden ingediend. Dat betekent dat we ons momenteel bevinden in de fase van initiatie en opstart van de deelnemende centra. Hierbij werk je nauw samen met het studieteam en diverse deelnemende ziekenhuizen.
