Camco Technologies is wereldwijd actief in de automatisering van containerterminals en havens. Onze hoogtechnologische installaties worden ingezet op terminals verspreid over alle continenten. Om onze verdere groei te ondersteunen, zijn wij op zoek naar een RTLS Architect/Senior Developer die graag meewerkt aan technisch uitdagende projecten.

Als RTLS Architect / Senior Developer neem je een sleutelrol op in de verdere ontwikkeling van onze RTLS-oplossingen. Je combineert softwarearchitectuur met hands-on development en bepaalt mee hoe onze oplossingen technisch worden opgebouwd en verder evolueren.

Je bent verantwoordelijk voor een consistente softwarearchitectuur en vertaalt nieuwe requirements, use cases en technische uitdagingen naar robuuste en onderhoudbare oplossingen. Tegelijk blijf je dicht bij de code en werk je zelf actief mee aan de implementatie in C++ en Python.

Je houdt je onder meer bezig met positioneringsalgoritmes, filtering en technologieën zoals UWB en GNSS. Je onderzoekt nieuwe technische oplossingen en onderbouwt architecturale keuzes door teststrategieën en experimenten op te zetten. Je analyseert en karakteriseert de performance van het systeem en gaat bij technische of field issues systematisch op zoek naar de oorzaak.

Je werkt hiervoor nauw samen met een klein team van ervaren developers, hardware engineers, interne stakeholders en field technicians. Door die korte lijnen zie je rechtstreeks wat er in de praktijk gebeurt en welke impact je technische keuzes hebben op het product.

Daarnaast neem je een technische leiderschapsrol op binnen het developmentteam. Je helpt bij de planning, delegeert taken, volgt ontwikkelingen op en bewaakt de technische samenhang. Je documenteert belangrijke keuzes en zoekt voortdurend naar manieren om oplossingen eenvoudiger, robuuster en beter onderhoudbaar te maken.

Profiel

Je bent een ervaren software engineer die graag verder kijkt dan de implementatie alleen. Je kunt een technisch probleem analyseren, abstraheren en vertalen naar een doordachte architectuur, maar vindt het even vanzelfsprekend om vervolgens zelf code te schrijven of een experiment op te zetten om je oplossing te valideren.

Je hebt minstens 5 jaar ervaring met C++ en/of Python en minstens 3 jaar ervaring met softwarearchitectuur. Ervaring met embedded devices is belangrijk. Ervaring met RTLS, lokalisatie- of positioneringssystemen sluit rechtstreeks aan bij de functie.

Je voelt je comfortabel in een omgeving waarin software, hardware, algoritmes en de fysieke wereld samenkomen.

Technische vereisten

  • Zeer goede kennis van C++ en Python
  • Ervaring met softwarearchitectuur en software design
  • Ervaring met embedded devices en embedded software
  • Ervaring met of goede kennis van RTLS-systemen
  • Kennis van UWB en GNSS/GPS
  • Sterke basis in wiskunde, algoritmes en filtering
  • Ervaring met algorithm design
  • Basiskennis van elektronica en voldoende inzicht om efficiënt met hardware engineers samen te werken
  • Ervaring met het ontwerpen van teststrategieën en experimenten
  • In staat om systeemperformance te meten, analyseren en karakteriseren
