Als schade-expert krijg je de kans om te werken aan uitdagende projecten. Je onderzoekt schades aan bezittingen van particulieren, bedrijven, instellingen, verenigingen of (lokale) overheden, zoals aan inboedels, inventarissen en goederen. Je gaat op pad om schades te bekijken en te analyseren. Gaandeweg leer je schades goed in kaart te brengen en af te handelen. Het communiceren met betrokkenen en het opstellen van rapportages behoort tot het leren van het vak. Daarnaast werk je samen met verschillende partijen, leer je de financiële aspecten van de schadeafhandeling te begrijpen en te beoordelen. Kortom, je hoeft nog geen schade-expert te zijn, wij leren je graag de kneepjes van het vak. Wel ben je van het type 'regelneef', moet je stevig in je schoenen staan, je eigen mening kunnen vormen en partijen tot elkaar kunnen brengen.
