Wij zijn op zoek naar een ervaren Allround Scheepstechnieker voor een functie in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.

Dit is geen functie voor een specialist binnen één vakgebied. We zoeken een ervaren en veelzijdige maritieme technicus met brede praktische ervaring, die problemen kan diagnosticeren, zich kan aanpassen aan verschillende situaties en praktische oplossingen kan vinden.

De ideale kandidaat voelt zich thuis binnen meerdere disciplines:

OVER DE FUNCTIE

Scheepstechnieker

Je werkt aan uiteenlopende reparatie-, onderhouds- en installatieprojecten aan zowel zeiljachten als motorboten.

Het werk is zeer gevarieerd en kan onder andere bestaan uit motorrevisies en motorvervangingen, mechanische reparaties, elektrische diagnose, hydrauliek en algemene maritieme systemen.

Motorvervangingen

Ervaring met complete motorvervangingen is zeer relevant. Dit kan onder andere bestaan uit:

  • Verwijderen van motoren en generatoren
  • Onderdelen identificeren en inkopen
  • Installatie
  • Uitlijning
  • Aansluiten en in bedrijf stellen

✔ Meerdere jaren ervaring op senior niveau binnen de maritieme techniek.

✔ Sterke praktische ervaring binnen meerdere maritieme disciplines.

✔ Sterke vaardigheden op het gebied van diagnose, storingszoeken en probleemoplossing.

✔ Je kunt zelfstandig werken en verantwoordelijkheid nemen voor het volledig afronden van een opdracht.

✔ Je kunt je aanpassen wanneer zich onverwachte problemen voordoen.

✔ Je spreekt en schrijft goed Engels en kunt rechtstreeks met klanten communiceren en technische werkzaamheden duidelijk uitleggen.

Certificaten & kwalificaties

Formele opleidingen en professionele certificaten zijn een voordeel, met name in verband met het verkrijgen van een BVI werkvergunning. We hechten echter meer waarde aan aantoonbare praktische ervaring dan aan certificaten alleen.

Kandidaten met ruime hands on ervaring in de maritieme sector maar minder formele kwalificaties worden nadrukkelijk aangemoedigd om te solliciteren.

Internationaal erkende maritieme, mechanische en elektrische kwalificaties, evenals relevante fabrikantcertificaten, zijn uiteraard welkom.
