Verleen acute zorg in een hecht team en verruil na je dienst het ziekenhuis voor zon en zee. Jouw nieuwe baan Als SEH-verpleegkundige op Aruba werk jij midden in de acute zorg. Mensen komen binnen zonder duidelijke diagnose. Jij beoordeelt direct de situatie, voert triage uit en bepaalt samen met artsen en collega-verpleegkundigen welke zorg nodig is. Tijdens je dienst leg je uit wat er gebeurt en wat patiënten kunnen verwachten. Je brengt rust in onzekere momenten. Soms gaat het om een eenvoudige breuk, soms om een reanimatie. Geen dienst is hetzelfde. Op de spoedeisende hulp zijn 13 behandelkamers, waaronder 2 traumakamers en 2 triageruimtes. Jaarlijks melden zich hier 35.000 tot 40.000 patiënten met onder meer trauma s, acute hartklachten en spoedvragen vanuit de eerstelijnszorg. Je legt gips aan, start acute interventies en neemt deel aan het reanimatieteam wanneer dat nodig is. Ook begeleid je stagiairs en nieuwe collega s. Het werk vraagt overzicht en besluitvaardigheid. Je schakelt snel, communiceert helder en werkt nauw samen met medisch specialisten en verpleegkundigen. Wat deze functie als SEH-verpleegkundige op Aruba bijzonder maakt, is de combinatie van professionele acute zorg en een overzichtelijk team waarin je elkaar goed kent. Jouw nieuwe werkplek Je gaat werken bij het ziekenhuis in Oranjestad, Aruba, een modern, middelgroot ziekenhuis waar zowel acute als specialistische zorg wordt geboden. De lijnen zijn kort en de samenwerking tussen verpleegkundigen, artsen en andere zorgprofessionals is direct en persoonlijk. Op de Spoedeisende Hulp is geen dienst hetzelfde. De afdeling is 24 uur per dag geopend en behandelt jaarlijks ongeveer 40.000 patiënten. Je werkt samen met onder andere SEH-artsen, gespecialiseerde verpleegkundigen en gipsverbandmeesters....
