Voor een internationale organisatie in de IT sector, gelegen te Geel, zijn we op zoek naar een Senior Accountant die graag verantwoordelijkheid neemt en een belangrijke schakel wil zijn binnen het financiële team. Je krijgt een veelzijdige rol dus, met zowel operationele verantwoordelijkheid als ruimte om mee te denken over de toekomst.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden als Senior Accountant:

Accounting & reporting

  • Beheren en opvolgen van de grootboekadministratie van meerdere Europese entiteiten.
  • Verzorgen van maand-, kwartaal- en jaarafsluitingen.
  • Uitvoeren van balanscontroles en analyseren van afwijkingen.
  • Opmaken van periodieke financiële rapportages voor het hoofdkantoor.
  • Voorbereiden van wettelijke jaarrekeningen.
  • Ondersteunen van de Accounts Payable- en Accounts Receivable-processen.
  • Actualiseren en verbeteren van financiële procedures en werkinstructies.

BTW & compliance

  • Bewaken van de naleving van lokale accounting-, fiscale en wettelijke vereisten.
  • Coördineren van de Europese btw-verplichtingen, waaronder aangiftes, controles en reconciliaties.
  • Opvolgen van btw-aspecten bij internationale en grensoverschrijdende transacties.
  • Fungeren als intern aanspreekpunt voor fiscale en btw-gerelateerde vragen.
  • Samenwerken met externe accountants, fiscalisten en lokale partners.

Business partnering

  • Optreden als rechterhand en sparringpartner van de Finance Manager.
  • Meewerken aan een sterke financiële controleomgeving en efficiënte processen.
  • Ondersteunen bij de verdere uitbouw van het financiële team en de internationale finance-organisatie.
  • Zelfstandig opnemen van verantwoordelijkheden en projecten binnen finance.

Audit & optimalisatie

  • Coördineren van externe audits en onderhouden van contacten met auditors.
  • Toezien op interne controles en correcte toepassing van bedrijfsrichtlijnen.
  • Signaleren van verbeterkansen binnen financiële processen.
  • Meewerken aan automatisering, standaardisatie en bredere finance-projecten.

Wie ben jij?

  • Je spreekt vlot Nederlands en Engels.
  • Je hebt een stevige achtergrond in accounting en werkt nauwkeurig en zelfstandig.
  • Je hebt kennis van btw en bent vertrouwd met internationale transacties.
  • Je bent analytisch ingesteld en weet financiële vraagstukken op een praktische manier aan te pakken.
  • Je communiceert gemakkelijk met collega's en stakeholders uit verschillende landen.
  • Je hebt een goede kennis van MS Office.
  • Ervaring met SAP is mooi meegenomen.
