Om hier scherp op te kunnen sturen, maak jij o.a. een verbeterslag met de maandrapportages; deze richt je 'smarter' en meer geautomatiseerd in. Deze maandrapportages vertalen zich in de tussentijdse rapportages die naar de Raad gaan. De teamplannen zijn een uitwerking van de doelstellingen van de programmabegroting en het directiejaarplan naar de doelstelling van het team. De functie vereist een sterke verbinding tussen financiën en maatschappelijke uitdagingen, met als doel de effectiviteit van beleid en middelen te vergroten. Als adviseur zorg je ervoor dat de gemeente haar middelen efficiënt inzet en dat beleidskeuzes goed onderbouwd zijn. Als adviseur stimuleer jij teams om hun financiële bewustzijn te vergroten en hun bijdrage aan de P&C te versterken. Dit betekent dat je collega's binnen de organisatie meeneemt, motiveert en het doel van de producten laat inzien zodat er echt op gestuurd kan worden. Wat is nog meer belangrijk om te weten? - Binnen de gemeente Venlo bestaat het team Financiën uit ongeveer 40 medewerkers. De afdeling kent drie clusters: Financieel Advies, Algemene Middelen en Planning & Control.
