The posting

For a leading manufacturer in the machine building industry in the region, we are looking for a dedicated Senior Electrical Engineer.

In this key engineering role, you will act as the technical owner for the complete electrical hardware design, ensuring every machine meets the highest quality and safety standards!

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take full ownership of the electrical engineering lifecycle:

  • Concept & Project Planning: Participate in multidisciplinary project design meetings with mechanical and software engineers from the concept phase onwards, creating realistic project schedules and milestones.
  • Electrical Design (EPLAN P8 & ProPanel): Translate draft electrical descriptions and specifications into clear, detailed hardware guidelines. Design and adapt electrical schematics in EPLAN P8 and create 3D panel/enclosure layouts in EPLAN ProPanel.
  • Standards & Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly comply with European directives and international regulations (e.g., EN 60204, Machinery Directive, EMC, LVD).
  • ERP & Production Follow-Up: Create and update ERP work orders for customer-specific projects and master BOMs for standard machinery. Closely monitor electrical assembly during the build phase in the workshop.
  • Standardization & Mentorship: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve electrical design guidelines and best practices. Review schematics with colleagues, offer technical guidance, and actively drive departmental standardization initiatives.
  • Education & Experience: You hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Sciences (Electromechanics / Electrotechnics) or possess equivalent experience. You have at least 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within the machine building sector.
  • Software & Standards: Strong proficiency in EPLAN P8 is required (hands-on experience with EPLAN ProPanel is a major plus). Solid working knowledge of European electrical safety standards (familiarity with UL standards for the North American market is an asset).
  • Key Strengths: You possess an analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a structured way of working.
  • Languages & Communication: Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch, with a collaborative team spirit suited for an international environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
