Functie: Senior jurist Toezicht en Handhaving milieu Als senior jurist ben jij de specialist voor de meest complexe milieu‑ en industriële dossiers in het Noordzeekanaalgebied, met opdrachtgevers zoals Tata Steel. Je geeft hands‑on strategisch juridisch advies en weegt zorgvuldig het spanningsveld tussen regels en individuele situaties. Je voert zelfstandig (literatuur)onderzoek uit, verdiept je in jurisprudentie en onderhoudt relaties met interne en externe stakeholders. Je vertegenwoordigt gemeenten en provincies in bezwaar‑, hoor‑ en beroepsprocedures en treedt waar nodig overtuigend op in de rechtszaal. Daarnaast speel je een begeleidende rol door junior juristen te coachen en kennis te delen binnen het team. Wat ga je doen - Adviseren over complexe milieu‑industriële toezichtzaken en vergunningaanvragen (Omgevingswet, Wet milieubeheer, Awb, Wabo). - Opstellen en voeren van bezwaar- en beroepsprocedures; vertegenwoordiging bij rechtbanken en commissies. - Strategisch en operationeel juridisch advies leveren binnen het team en aan bestuurlijke klanten. - Coördineren van dossiers met hoge maatschappelijke impact en waar nodig de lead nemen. - Mentorschap en kennisoverdracht aan junior juristen binnen een groot juristenteam. Gevraagd profiel (vereisten) - Afgeronde wo‑opleiding rechtsgeleerdheid, bij voorkeur met focus staats‑ en bestuursrecht. - Minimaal 7 jaar aantoonbare ervaring met juridische advisering op milieugebied. - Diepgaande en actuele kennis van Omgevingswet, Wet milieubeheer, Awb en Wabo. - Omgevingsbewustzijn, bestuurlijke sensitiviteit en het vermogen om standpunten overtuigend te presenteren. - Ervaring met procesvoering (bezwaar en beroep) en het begeleiden van minder ervaren juristen. - Niet geschikt voor zelfstandigen; geen toegang voor doorleen‑zzp'ers. Werkomgeving en voorwaarden Je werkt bij de Omgevingsdienst Noordzeekanaalgebied in Zaandam binnen een team van ruim 700 collega's en een groot juristenteam. ...
