Inlichtingen zijn van cruciaal belang voor het plannen en uitvoeren van militaire cyberoperaties. Als onderzoeker draag je bij aan het verwerven van Open Source Inlichtingen om militaire (offensieve) cyberoperaties mogelijk te maken. Je bent een belangrijke sensor in het inlichtingenproces van militaire cyberoperaties. Samen met je collega's zorg jij dat de inlichtingen die nodig zijn om de operationele doelen te bereiken voorhanden zijn. Jouw kennis van inlichtingen, onderzoek in open bronnen (waaronder social media) en natuurlijk cyber vormt een belangrijk onderdeel van ons succes. Je verricht diepteonderzoek naar publiekelijk verkrijgbare informatie op basis van de inlichtingenbehoefte van primair de militaire cyberoperatie en secundair andere behoeftestellers binnen het inlichtingendomein. Je ben het aanspreekpunt en de adviseur voor OSINT binnen je werkomgeving en de vertegenwoordiger naar buiten. Daarnaast ben je belast met het verwerven, ontwikkelen en borgen van kennis op het gebied van OSINT.
