Voor een groeiende en internationaal georiënteerde onderneming binnen de voedingsindustrie in regio Ieper ben ik op zoek naar een Senior Product Developer die ervaring met productontwikkeling, procesoptimalisatie en innovatie wil combineren. Je komt terecht in een professionele productieomgeving waar sterk wordt ingezet op kwaliteit, vernieuwing en de verdere ontwikkeling van een breed productportfolio. In deze functie krijg je de verantwoordelijkheid om nieuwe producten van concept tot productie te begeleiden. Je werkt nauw samen met verschillende interne afdelingen en vertaalt ideeën en marktbehoeften naar technisch haalbare, kwalitatieve en commercieel interessante producten.

Hoe zal jouw takenpakket eruit zien?

  • Je leidt productontwikkelingsprojecten van eerste concept tot succesvolle implementatie in productie.
  • Je ontwikkelt, test en optimaliseert nieuwe recepten en producten met aandacht voor kwaliteit, smaak, functionaliteit en kostenefficiëntie.
  • Je vertaalt commerciële en klantgerichte ideeën naar concrete productconcepten en technische oplossingen.
  • Je organiseert en begeleidt labo-, pilot- en productietesten en analyseert de resultaten.
  • Je onderzoekt de technische haalbaarheid van nieuwe ingrediënten, grondstoffen en productiemethodes.
  • Je werkt samen met productie en operations om nieuwe producten succesvol op industriële schaal te produceren.
  • Je begeleidt de opschaling van producten en zorgt ervoor dat recepturen en processen correct worden overgedragen naar productie.
  • Je analyseert bestaande producten en processen en identificeert opportuniteiten voor optimalisatie en innovatie.
  • Je staat in voor het opmaken en beheren van technische productspecificaties, recepturen en andere ontwikkelingsdocumentatie.
  • Je identificeert mogelijke technische en kwaliteitsrisico's binnen ontwikkelingsprojecten en werkt hiervoor gerichte oplossingen uit.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met Quality, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales en andere interne stakeholders.
  • Je volgt marktontwikkelingen, nieuwe ingrediënten en trends binnen de voedingsindustrie op en vertaalt interessante ontwikkelingen naar nieuwe productideeën.
  • Je ondersteunt commerciële lanceringen en biedt technische ondersteuning wanneer nieuwe producten in productie worden genomen.
  • Je begeleidt en ondersteunt minder ervaren collega's binnen productontwikkeling en deelt actief jouw technische kennis.

Wat verwachten wij van jou?

  • Je beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma in Voedingsmiddelentechnologie, Food Science, Bio-ingenieurswetenschappen of een gelijkaardige richting.
  • Je hebt minstens 3 jaar relevante ervaring binnen productontwikkeling in de voedingsindustrie.
  • Je hebt een sterke kennis van receptuurontwikkeling, ingrediënten en voedingsprocessen.
