Een goed samenspel met onze 128.000 inwoners, partners in de stad, het college, de raad en collega's. Sinds 2021 is de nieuwe inburgeringswet ingevoerd. De bedoeling van deze wet is om statushouders zo snel mogelijk, duaal (combinatie taal en participatie) en op maat onderdeel van de Nederlandse samenleving te laten zijn. Het liefst via betaald werk, maar dit kan ook via andere vormen van participatie. Met de komst van de nieuwe wet is de verantwoordelijkheid voor een succesvolle inburgering voor een groot en belangrijk deel naar gemeenten toe verschoven. De regievoerder van het team Inburgering Participatie en Arbeid (IPA) vormt de spil in de uitvoering van de nieuwe wet, hij of zij voert de regie over het inburgeringsproces dat maximaal 3 jaar duurt. De regievoerders van team IPA zorgen ervoor dat statushouders, zodra zij in de Regionale Opvanglocatie (ROL) in Zwolle verblijven, starten met het verplichte inburgeringstraject en participatie in onze stad. Een stad in een regio die hard op weg is om de vierde economische topregio van Nederland te worden met innovatieve bedrijven die bijdragen aan onze maatschappelijke opgaven.
