Heb jij al meerdere jaren transportplanning in de vingers en weet je hoe je een complexe planning overeind houdt wanneer de omstandigheden onderweg veranderen? Zoek je een functie waarin jouw ervaring echt wordt benut en je zelfstandig beslissingen kunt nemen? Dan is deze uitdaging als Senior Transportplanner de volgende stap die jij zoekt!

Je komt terecht bij een familiale transportonderneming in de regio Aalst die al meer dan 50 jaar gespecialiseerd is in internationaal transport. Vanuit haar jarenlange expertise verzorgt de organisatie transportoplossingen voor klanten verspreid over Europa. Hiervoor wordt gewerkt met een modern wagenpark, ervaren chauffeurs en een eigen operationele organisatie.

Binnen het planningsteam krijg je een belangrijke rol in het dagelijks organiseren en optimaliseren van de transporten. De combinatie van internationale ritten, retourvrachten en wijzigingen onderweg maakt dat geen enkele planning volledig vastligt.

Wat houdt de job in?

  • Vanuit jouw ervaring neem je de dagelijkse transportplanning in handen en zorg je ervoor dat chauffeurs, voertuigen en transportopdrachten zo efficiënt mogelijk op elkaar worden afgestemd
  • Om de beschikbare capaciteit optimaal te benutten, ga je als Dispatcher actief op zoek naar geschikte retourritten en stuur je de planning bij om lege kilometers zoveel mogelijk te beperken
  • Tijdens de uitvoering volg je de geplande transporten nauwgezet op en reageer je snel op vertragingen, wijzigingen of onverwachte situaties die onderweg ontstaan
  • Als centraal aanspreekpunt onderhoud je dagelijks de communicatie met klanten en chauffeurs, waarbij je hen informeert over de planning en praktische afspraken verder afstemt
  • Ook intern zorg je voor een vlotte afstemming met het management en jouw collega’s, zodat wijzigingen snel worden doorgegeven en de volledige transportflow onder controle blijft
  • Een bachelor- of masterdiploma binnen logistiek, supply chain of een verwante richting is een must binnen deze functie
  • Daarnaast beschik je over minstens 5 jaar relevante ervaring binnen transportplanning, waardoor je zelfstandig een planning kunt beheren, prioriteiten kunt bepalen en snel kunt schakelen bij wijzigingen
  • Een zeer goede beheersing van het Nederlands en Engels is noodzakelijk; kennis van Frans, Duits en ervaring met ETrans vormen een duidelijke meerwaarde
