Ondergrondse parkeerverbinding Pols Noord In de Pols van Katendrecht vindt een binnenstedelijke transformatie plaats vindt van voormalig industrieterrein naar een hoogwaardig en levendig woon-werk-winkelgebied met ca 3.000 woningen, ruimte voor een commercieel programma in de plinten en meerdere hoogbouw torens (130-230m). Onderdeel van dit programma zijn ca 950 autoparkeerplaatsen (waarvan ca 200 openbaar toegankelijk). Dit betekent dat de beleving (kwaliteit en veiligheid) van de openbare ruimte op gespannen voet staat met de verkeer aantrekkende werking in dit relatief kleine gebied. De gemeente Rotterdam heeft daarom samen met de betrokken ontwikkelaars van de Pols Noord de voorkeur uitgesproken om een hoogwaardig voetgangersgebied te creëren door één centrale toegang tot alle ondergrondse parkeergarages te realiseren, de zogenaamde ondergrondse parkeerverbinding. De parkeerverbinding krijgt een ingang in de middenberm van de Brede Hilledijk (de toegangsweg van het schiereiland Katendrecht) en is ca 165m lang. De weg leidt naar een ondergrondse rotonde van waaruit 5 parkeergarages bereikt ...
