Service Engineer Maritiem Probleemoplossende en klantgerichte, proactieve techneut. Standplaats: IJmuiden Hoe ziet je dag eruit? Je start de dag met de planning die de Service Coordinator voor je heeft klaargezet. Maar in deze rol is geen dag hetzelfde: het werk is enorm dynamisch. Vandaag ga je op pad naar een containerschip in de haven van Amsterdam waarvan de radar kuren vertoont, en morgen stap je zomaar aan boord van een luxe megajacht of vlieg je onverwacht naar een klus in het buitenland. Je krijgt hierin de vrijheid om je eigen plan te trekken. Eenmaal aan boord duik je direct in het specialistische en uitdagende werk. Met jouw expertise spoor je de storing op, vervangt het onderdeel en test het systeem. Als de systemen weer vlekkeloos draaien en het schip veilig kan vertrekken, geeft dat een enorme kick. Je hebt het weer geflikt! Wat ga je doen? Als Service Engineer breng je de modernste maritieme techniek tot leven aan boord van de meest uiteenlopende schepen. Je installeert en configureert geavanceerde NavCom systemen zoals radars, gyrokompassen en ECDIS-installaties, en zorgt dat alle hardware en software vlekkeloos draait. Wanneer bijvoorbeeld een radarantenne vastloopt, satellietcommunicatie niet meer werkt of elektronica kuren vertoont, bijt jij je vast in de complexe storing tot het is opgelost. Aan boord ben jij de expert: je adviseert de kapitein en de crew over het gebruik van hun high-tech apparatuur. Tot slot zorg je met nauwkeurige rapportages en certificeringen dat het schip officieel aan alle internationale wetgeving voldoet en veilig de haven kan verlaten. Wat kenmerkt jou?
