Als servicemonteur elektrotechniek ben je het aanspreekpunt voor klanten als er iets niet werkt of wanneer systemen onderhoud nodig hebben. Je werkt aan installaties in utiliteitsgebouwen, denk aan klimaatregeling, verlichting, zonwering en energiebeheersystemen. Samen met je collega's zorg je ervoor dat alles blijft draaien en dat storingen snel verholpen worden. Je krijgt de ruimte om stapsgewijs meer verantwoordelijkheid te pakken, en je leert gaandeweg steeds meer over de complexere systemen waar jullie aan werken. Concreet houd je je bezig met: - Het uitvoeren van onderhoud en inspecties aan elektrotechnische installaties in utiliteitsgebouwen; - Het opsporen en verhelpen van storingen, waarbij je zowel zelfstandig als in overleg met collega's werkt; - Contact met klanten: je legt uit wat er aan de hand is en wat je gaat doen; - Het adviseren van klanten over verbeteringen en mogelijke aanpassingen aan hun installaties; - Het werken met moderne besturingssystemen en slimme gebouwbeheersystemen; - Het bijhouden van servicerapporten en documentatie; - Samenwerken met projectteams bij grotere renovaties of aanpassingen.

Doordat je aan verschillende projecten werkt, blijft het afwisselend. De ene week ben je bezig met een storing in een ziekenhuis, de volgende week voer je preventief onderhoud uit in een kantoorpand. Je bouwt ervaring op in verschillende omgevingen en leert steeds meer over de nieuwste technieken. Ervaren collega's nemen je mee in complexere klussen, zodat je stap voor stap meer zelfstandigheid krijgt. Op termijn kun je doorgroeien naar een rol met meer technische diepgang, bijvoorbeeld als specialist in gebouwautomatisering of als projectmonteur bij grotere installaties.
