The posting

Als Database Administrator MS SQL Server sta je in voor het dagelijks operationeel beheer van de databanken. Zo ben je actief bezig met het monitoren van de performantie, het opvolgen van de back-up en restore procedures, de beveiliging, de installaties, configuraties en deployments. Jouw taak bestaat erin om de toegang te vergemakkelijken en de verwerking en verzoeken te optimaliseren. Tevens werk je mee aan projecten (development / infrastructuur).

Concreet ben je verantwoordelijk voor:

  • Databases aanmaken, onderhouden en wijzigingen (MS SQL Server 2016/2019, MS Azure SQL Database) en het reviewen van 'Create Table' scripts die geleverd worden door andere Scrum teams.
  • Implementeren en opvolgen van mechanismen voor hoge beschikbaarheid en back-ups.
  • Opvolgen van de productie (bewaking van SQL-databasedeadlocks, beschikbaarheid van de database, SQL-waarschuwingen maken en controleren,...).
  • De betrouwbaarheid, beschikbaarheid en toegang tot gegevens verbeteren door nieuwe voorstellen in te dienen.
  • Purge en audit scripts voor databases implementeren
  • Je speelt een coachende rol binnen het ontwikkelingsteam. Je biedt hulp en advies bij toegang van programma's naar SQL-databases.
  • Je beschikt over een bachelor of master in de informatica, en je hebt minimum 5 jaar ervaring als MS SQL Server DBA.
  • Naast MS SQL-serveromgevingen heb je interesse in een of meerdere andere RDBMS.
  • Je hebt een diepgaande praktische ervaring met T-SQL.
  • Ervaring in DevOps & MS Azure SQL is een pluspunt. Jouw leergierigheid telt om hierin te groeien.
  • Je hebt uitstekende interpersoonlijke vaardigheden, waardoor je assertief kunt zijn in contacten met collega's en ervoor kunt zorgen dat ieders ideeën en belangen worden gerespecteerd.
  • Je bent in staat om efficiënt te werken in situaties die stress kunnen veroorzaken en bent flexibel bij veranderende prioriteiten.
  • Je bent klantgericht en kunt goed in teamverband werken.
  • Tot slot heb je een actieve kennis van het Frans.
