In het kort: Je gaat als technisch leider het centrale observability platform doorontwikkelen, standaarden en best practices vormgeven, teams begeleiden, governance en kostenbeheersing verbeteren en nieuwe observability-oplossingen en functionaliteiten implementeren binnen de IT-organisatie. Dit ga je doen Als Specialist Observability Platform neem je een technisch leidende rol in de verdere ontwikkeling van ons centrale observability platform. Je bent een technisch aanspreekpunt voor NS-ontwikkelteams en partners, iemand die technische richting geeft, verbeterinitiatieven initieert en collega's en teams daarin meeneemt. Je kijkt daarbij verder dan de techniek alleen. Je begrijpt welke waarde observability voor NS moet opleveren en kunt technische mogelijkheden vertalen naar oplossingen die daadwerkelijk bijdragen aan betrouwbaarheid, efficiëntie, risicoreductie en kostenbeheersing. Je beweegt gemakkelijk tussen verschillende niveaus binnen de organisatie. Je kunt met developers en platform engineers diepgaand over architectuur, integraties en implementaties praten, maar ook met Product Owners en andere stakeholders bespreken waarom iets belangrijk is en welke waarde het oplevert. Je werkt nauw samen met DevOps- en platformteams binnen NS en met externe partners zoals Datadog. Je bent proactief: je signaleert verbeterkansen, brengt initiatieven op gang en helpt het team en de organisatie om observability steeds verder te professionaliseren. Hoe draag je bij in deze rol Je geeft technische richting aan de verdere ontwikkeling van het centrale observability platform en helpt standaarden en best practices neer te zetten en te handhaven. Je ontwikkelt en implementeert oplossingen die self-service, standaardisatie en schaalbaarheid bevorderen, zodat de groei van het aantal aangesloten teams beheersbaar blijft. Je helpt governance en cost control verder vorm te geven, bijvoorbeeld rondom Data Access Control, tagging, sampling en het beheersen van het gebruik en de kost.
