Als Sr. Automation Software Engineer speel je een sleutelrol in het ontwerpen, ontwikkelen en implementeren van geavanceerde besturingssoftware voor industriële processen. Je vertaalt complexe gebruikersvereisten naar betrouwbare en efficiënte automatiseringsoplossingen en draagt bij aan de optimalisatie van productieomgevingen.

Je werkt aan uitdagende projecten binnen industriële automatisatie, waarbij je instaat voor het volledige traject: van concept en ontwerp tot programmatie, testing en ingebruikname bij de klant. Dankzij jouw technische expertise en projectervaring zorg je ervoor dat systemen niet alleen correct functioneren, maar ook toekomstbestendig en schaalbaar zijn.

Binnen het projectteam fungeer je als een belangrijke technische spil en werk je nauw samen met projectleiders, systeemarchitecten en klanten.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

Engineering & ontwikkeling

  • Ontwerpen en ontwikkelen van applicatiesoftware voor PLC-, DCS- en HMI/SCADA-systemen.
  • Opstellen van softwareontwerpen en technische documentatie op basis van gebruikersspecificaties.
  • Programmeren, testen en optimaliseren van besturingssoftware voor industriële installaties.
  • Afstemmen van technische keuzes met systeemarchitecten en andere engineeringdisciplines.

Projectuitvoering

  • Uitwerken en bewaken van de detailplanning voor het softwaregedeelte van projecten.
  • Actief deelnemen aan interne en externe projectmeetings.
  • Ondersteunen bij het opstellen van kostprijsramingen en offertes.
  • Bewaken van de scope van de leveringsomvang.

Testing & commissioning

  • Opstellen en uitvoeren van Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) samen met projectteam en klant.
  • Voorbereiden en uitvoeren van Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) en inbedrijfstelling op locatie.
  • Opstellen en opvolgen van puntenlijsten (FAT, SAT en nazorg).

Kennisdeling & ondersteuning

  • Inwerken en begeleiden van nieuwe collega's binnen het team.
  • Opstellen van gebruikershandleidingen en technische documentatie.
  • Geven van instructies en ondersteuning aan eindgebruikers.

Kwaliteit & verbetering

  • Tijdig signaleren van technische knelpunten en mogelijke optimalisaties.
  • Melden en inschatten van meer- of minderwerk binnen projecten.
  • Werken volgens geldende normen, veiligheidsvoorschriften en interne procedures.
  • Deelnemen aan projectevaluaties en bijdragen aan continue verbetering.

Je combineert sterke technische expertise met een analytische en gestructureerde aanpak.

Opleiding

  • Bachelor of Master in Elektromechanica, Industriële Automatisering of gelijkwaardig door relevante ervaring

Aanvullende opleidingen

  • ISA88
  • PLC-, HMI/SCADA- en/of DCS-ontwikkelsoftware
  • Functionele veiligheid
  • VCA

Ervaring

  • Minstens 7 à 10 jaar ervaring als Software Engineer binnen industriële automatisatie
