Ze raken aan maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen, politieke belangen en bestuurlijke keuzes. Juist dan is het belangrijk dat een bestuurder kan terugvallen op een adviseur die snel tot de kern komt, verschillende belangen overziet en vooruitkijkt. Bij gemeente Coevorden zoeken we daarom een strategisch adviseur openbare orde en veiligheid. Een senior professional die het gemeentelijke speelveld kent, veiligheid inhoudelijk goed beheerst en vanuit die basis bestuur en organisatie scherp adviseert. Je bent een stevige gesprekspartner voor de burgemeester, het college, de directie en het management. Je analyseert wat er speelt, herkent de vraag achter de vraag en maakt inzichtelijk welke risico's, dilemma's en keuzes voorliggen. Zo help je het bestuur om goed onderbouwde besluiten te nemen. De strategische opgave Je komt op een interessant moment naar Coevorden. De komende periode werken we verder aan het Integraal Veiligheidsplan 2027-2030 en aan de verdere versterking van de strategische positie van het veiligheidsdomein binnen de organisatie. Daarin breng jij overzicht en richting. Je verbindt actuele veiligheidsvraagstukken aan ontwikkelingen op de langere termijn en kijkt daarbij verder dan veiligheid alleen. Vraagstukken rond bijvoorbeeld ondermijning, zorg en veiligheid, leefbaarheid en crisisbeheersing raken ook het sociaal domein, de fysieke leefomgeving en andere maatschappelijke en bestuurlijke opgaven. Jij ziet die samenhang en weet wat die betekent voor de gemeentelijke agenda. Daarbij gaat het niet alleen om signaleren wat er speelt.
