Vanuit de afdeling Maatschappelijke Ontwikkeling werken we iedere dag aan de ontwikkeling van beleid dat hieraan bijdraagt. De afdeling Maatschappelijke Ontwikkeling is verantwoordelijk voor het brede sociaal domein: van onderwijs, jeugd, welzijn en zorg tot Wmo, werk en inkomen, sport, cultuur en volksgezondheid. We werken vanuit drie vakgroepen: Onderwijs en Jeugd, Ondersteuning Volwassenen en Sport, Cultuur en Volksgezondheid. Daarnaast is het Programma Transformatie Sociaal Domein binnen onze afdeling gepositioneerd. We werken daarbij nauw samen met onze regionale partners en met organisaties in de stad, zoals zorg- en welzijnsorganisaties, onderwijsinstellingen, maatschappelijke organisaties en vrijwilligersorganisaties. Voor een periode van zes maanden zoeken we een stevige en zelfstandige strategisch beleidsadviseur die de beleidsontwikkeling en uitvoering rond de sociale basis verder brengt. Je ontwikkelt visie en beleid op basis van landelijke, regionale en lokale ontwikkelingen. Je signaleert nieuwe ontwikkelingen en vertaalt deze naar concrete kansen en beleidsvoorstellen voor Bergen op Zoom. Daarbij verbind je strategische beleidsontwikkeling met de dagelijkse praktijk en met wat inwoners en maatschappelijke partners nodig hebben. Je bent een belangrijke gesprekspartner voor directie en management en een strategische sparringpartner voor het college van burgemeester en wethouders. Je beweegt gemakkelijk tussen beleid, uitvoering, bestuur en maatschappelijke partners en weet daarbij de gemeentelijke regierol op een natuurlijke en effectieve manier vorm te geven.
