Opdrachtomschrijving De afdeling Water van de directie Verkeer en Openbare Ruimte voert regie op de complexe stedelijke wateropgaven en versterkt het opdrachtgeverschap richting Watermaatschappij Amsterdam en WRK. Per 1 januari 2026 vindt de ontvlechting van Stichting Waternet plaats, met twee grote transities: de integratie van ARW-taken binnen de gemeente (circa 550 medewerkers) en de verzelfstandiging van de drinkwaterkolom. Als strategisch (beleids)adviseur Water geef je richting aan beleid, voer je regie op opdrachtgeverschap en coördineer je het kernteam van de afdeling Water. Je adviseert wethouder, directie en management over politiek-bestuurlijk gevoelige dossiers, ontwikkelt beleidskaders en begeleidt bestuurlijke besluitvorming met oog voor maatschappelijke en financiële risico's. Je verbindt strategie en uitvoering, onderhoudt intensieve relaties met verbonden partijen, stuurt inhoudelijk het kernteam en neemt zelfstandig de leiding over strategische projecten. Vereist profiel - WO-werk- en denkniveau, bij voorkeur met relevante ervaring in waterbeheer, ruimtelijke ordening of openbare ruimte. - Aantoonbare ervaring met strategisch en politiek-bestuurlijk advies op complexe, multidisciplinaire dossiers. - Ervaring met accounthouderschap/ opdrachtgeverschap richting (semi)publieke waterpartners en het borgen van publieke belangen. - Ervaring met organisatie-integratie, transities of verzelfstandigingstrajecten (proces-, systeem- en personeelsaspecten). - Sterke stakeholdermanagement-, communicatie- en onderhandelingsvaardigheden; bestuurlijke sensitiviteit en overtuigingskracht. - Leidinggevende of coördinerende ervaring in het aansturen van een kernteam en het bewaken van samenhang, voortgang en kwaliteit van producten. - Analytisch sterk, besluitvaardig, proactief en in staat om strategisch beleid te vertalen naar uitvoerbare projecten. - Goede beheersing van het Nederlands en affiniteit met Amsterdamse bestuurlijke...
