Als Supply Chain Planner ben je verantwoordelijk voor een optimale beschikbaarheid van onderdelen en materialen. Je brengt vraag, voorraad, capaciteit en levertijden bij elkaar en zorgt voor een realistische planning waarmee zowel interne als externe klanten verder kunnen. Je werkt voor meerdere productieomgevingen en bent een belangrijk aanspreekpunt wanneer de beschikbaarheid afwijkt van de gewenste levertijd, hoeveelheid of kwaliteit. Daarbij kijk je verder dan alleen de planning van vandaag. Je vertaalt bedrijfsplannen naar toekomstige capaciteitsbehoeften, stelt prognoses op en onderzoekt verschillende planningsscenario's. Een belangrijk onderdeel van je functie is het signaleren en oplossen van mogelijke tekorten. Je analyseert productie- en capaciteitsplannen, beheert voorraadniveaus en bepaalt prioriteiten wanneer de vraag groter is dan het aanbod. Ook houd je rekening met de levenscyclus van producten, zodat beschikbaarheid wordt gegarandeerd en overtollige of verouderde voorraad zoveel mogelijk wordt voorkomen. Daarnaast werk je intensief samen met leveranciers. Je bewaakt onder andere leverbetrouwbaarheid, levertijden, kwaliteit en volumes.
