Port of Antwerp-Bruges heeft een belangrijke rol in de dagelijkse werking van de haven. Zo'n 1 800 medewerkers werken dag en nacht aan een klantgerichte dienstverlening, een optimale infrastructuur, innovatieve projecten en de promotie van de haven in binnen-en buitenland. Zij zetten zich samen in om de rol van Port of Antwerp-Bruges als duurzame wereldhaven te verstevigen. Onze missie? Port of Antwerp-Bruges, thuishaven als hefboom voor een duurzame toekomst.

Zin om als system engineer mee bij te dragen aan de digitale infrastructuur?

Als system engineer in het DevOps team draag je mee bij aan de optimale werking van onze digitale infrastructuur. Je beheert en optimaliseert server-, virtualisatie- en container-omgevingen en garandeert hun continue beschikbaarheid in een 24x7 omgeving. Je opereert zowel operationeel als projectmatig, beheert configuraties, automatiseert processen en implementeert roadmaps voor de platformen.

Je vrijwaart de beschikbaarheid, confidentialiteit en integriteit van de systemen en je staat in voor het beveiligen van de platformen met als doel een bedrijfszekere en veilige operating environment te verzekeren. Hierbij zal je security updates en patching opvolgen, security policies en de nodige procedures afdwingen. Daarnaast zal je toegangen auditeren, software installaties en updates uitvoeren in een uitdagende 24/7 omgeving.

Een greep uit jouw gevarieerde takenpakket :

  • Je zal in een team terecht komen dat verantwoordelijk is voor de digitale infrastructuur die 24x7x365 beschikbaar moeten zijn. Je hebt een zeer goede IT kennis van een brede waaier aan systemen, die je in staat stelt om aan de 2e en 3e lijn support taken een gestructureerde oplossing te bieden
  • Je staat mee in voor de verdere uitbouw en het onderhoud van de IT systemen. Samen met de andere systeembeheerders sta je in voor de veiligheid en de continuïteit van deze systemen en werk je actief mee aan het verbeteren van de uitvoering van ICT gerelateerde taken
  • Je volgt de nieuwste trends en technologieën op, formuleert voorstellen en geeft aan waar bestaande situaties kunnen verbeterd worden
  • Je werkt nauw samen met de andere teams binnen de afdeling (Infrastructuur, Cyber Resilience, ServiceDesk, …)
  • Na een inloopperiode zal je in een beurtrolsysteem mee wacht lopen
  • De focus van het DevOps team ligt voornamelijk op ons Kubernetes & On-Prem Cloud platform, inclusief logging, monitoring en observability
  • Via de nauwe samenwerking met de Linux, Windows, Storage & Public Cloud teams, kom je in contact en werk je mee aan een breed en variërend gamma van technologieën
  • Je beschikt over een bachelorsdiploma (bij voorkeur IT) of je hebt reeds een aantal jaren ervaring in een job als system engineer. We zijn bij voorkeur op zoek naar mensen met enkele jaren ervaring, maar enthousiaste jonge afgestudeerde IT'ers maken ook een kans.
  • Je hebt grondige kennis van, of sterke interesse in Linux operating systems en ecosystemen, networking, storage technologie en AI
  • Je hebt kennis van Container technologie (Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, …), Automatisatie (Terraform, Ansible, Python, …), Monitoring (Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana, …) met bij voorkeur enkele jaren ervaring
  • Termen als IaC, GitOps, CI/CD zijn voor jou geen onbekenden
  • Je spreekt en schrijft vlot Nederlands en hebt ook een goede kennis van het Engels
