Als studentenondersteuner begeleid en ondersteun je studenten zowel op vlak van hun studieloopbaan als op psychosociaal vlak, met als doel hun welzijn en studievoortgang te bevorderen.

Jouw kernverantwoordelijkheden:

  • Je begeleidt studenten individueel met persoonlijke vragen/problemen, psychosociale problemen (faalangst, depressie, moeilijke thuissituatie, …) en verwijst doelgericht door;
  • Je begeleidt studenten in het maken van een studiekeuze bij (her)oriëntering;
  • Je geeft studiebegeleiding;
  • Je volgt de studenten met bindende voorwaarden op;
  • Je ondersteunt studenten met een statuut functiebeperking en een statuut bijzondere omstandigheden. Je zoekt mee naar gepersonaliseerde ondersteuning op basis van de individuele noden van de student. Indien nodig, stel je bijhorende onderwijs- en examenfaciliteiten op;
  • Je voert afhaakgesprekken en stelt afhaakrapporten op wanneer een student vroegtijdig wil afhaken uit de opleiding;
  • Je werkt nauw samen met alle betrokken actoren rond studentenbegeleiding binnen het kader van ons Student support model;
  • Je bent aanwezig op infodagen, ouderinfoavond, … om verduidelijking te geven rond het student support model.
  • Je bent in het bezit van een master in de pedagogische wetenschappen: afstudeerrichting orthopedagogiek OF een master in de psychologie: afstudeerrichting klinische psychologie of schoolpsychologie OF een master aangevuld met een erkende 4-jarige therapieopleiding.
  • Je beschikt bij voorkeur over minstens 2 jaar relevante beroepservaring.
  • Je voldoet aan de taalvereisten.

Wat zijn extra troeven?

  • Relevante ervaring in (hoger) onderwijs.
  • Kennis over het vernieuwde hoger onderwijslandschap.
  • Vertrouwd met thema’s zoals psychosociaal welzijn, studievaardigheden, impact van functiebeperkingen op het leren en leven van studenten, conflicthantering,... .

Wat zijn jouw talenten?

  • Voeling hebben met de student en zijn context en beschikken over doorgedreven inlevingsvermogen. Je hebt daarbij aandacht voor het bewaken van het evenwicht afstand-nabijheid in de relatie met de student;
  • Kunnen omgaan met de diversiteit van de studentenpopulatie. Je kan hierbij kijken naar de student in al diens facetten;
  • Discretie in het omgaan met vertrouwelijke info;
  • Individuele coachende vaardigheden;
  • Mentaal wendbaar zijn en kunnen inspelen op onverwachte (crisis)situaties en vragen (zowel inhoudelijk als naar planning van het werk);
  • Het hoofd koel kunnen houden bij studenten in crisissituaties;
  • Kunnen samenwerken in multidisciplinaire teams (docenten, onderwijskundigen, ...).
