Je bent de formeel leidinggevende van een team van 7 software engineers, dat naar verwachting in de toekomst verder zal groeien. Ongeveer 60% van je rol richt zich op people management. Je coacht je team, voert één-op-één gesprekken en performancegesprekken, ondersteunt medewerkers bij hun ontwikkeling en creëert een omgeving waarin mensen het vertrouwen krijgen om verantwoordelijkheid te nemen en worden uitgedaagd om zich verder te ontwikkelen. De overige 40% van je rol richt zich op technische en organisatorische verbetering. Je hoeft zelf geen code te schrijven of code reviews uit te voeren. In plaats daarvan gebruik je jouw achtergrond als software engineer om de uitdagingen van je team te begrijpen, goede technische besluitvorming te faciliteren en de manier waarop het team werkt verder te verbeteren. Je brengt de ontwikkeling van mensen, technische verbetering en delivery met elkaar in balans. Je maakt bewuste keuzes over waar jouw aandacht de meeste waarde toevoegt.
