The posting

Als technical designer wordt een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan zowel het creatieve ontwerptraject als de technische productontwikkeling.

Jouw takenpakket:

Productontwikkeling en kwaliteitsbewaking:

  • Actieve betrokkenheid bij de technische ontwikkeling van nieuwe kledingstukken;
  • Opvolgen van prototypes en productievoorbereiding met duidelijke technische bijsturingen;
  • Uitwerken van moodboards en concepten met aandacht voor technische haalbaarheid;
  • Analyseren van verkoopresultaten voor betere afstemming op marktbehoeften;
  • Ontwerpen van producten in lijn met de geldende PPE‑normeringen.

Ontwerp- en ontwikkelingsproces

  • Visualisatie en uitwerking van concepten via manuele en digitale technieken;
  • Analyse van trends om deze om te zetten in relevante en commercieel haalbare ontwerpen;
  • Samenstelling van een doordacht assortiment op basis van marktinzichten en nieuwe kansen;
  • Bewaken van pasvorm, maatvoering en afwerking met focus op kwaliteit en efficiëntie;
  • Toepassen van een First Time Right‑aanpak om herwerkingen te beperken en processen te optimaliseren.

Wat maakt van jou de ideale kandidaat?

  • Diploma in modetechnologie, een gelijkaardige opleiding of aantoonbare ervaring binnen een technisch‑creatieve omgeving;
  • Ervaring van enkele jaren in een rol waar ontwerp, productontwikkeling of technische uitwerking centraal staat;
  • Ruime kennis van materiaalgedrag, constructietechnieken, patroonopbouw, grafische elementen en kwaliteitsafwerking;
  • Sterke affiniteit met productdetail, nauwkeurigheid en technische verfijning;
  • Vlot communiceren in het Engels, met name in contact met productie‑ en engineeringpartners, en een basis Nederlands;
  • Gevorderde beheersing van Adobe‑software zoals Illustrator, InDesign en Photoshop; vertrouwdheid met 3D‑toepassingen wordt gezien als een plus;
  • Bekendheid met Microsoft Office en systemen voor product- of datamanagement (PDM/PLM);
  • Goed analytisch inzicht, praktisch ingesteld, doorzettingsvermogen, vernieuwend, flexibel omgaan met last minute veranderingen;
  • Teamgerichte houding, maar toch ook zelfstandig kunnen werken;
  • Bereidheid om internationale productielocaties te bezoeken wanneer nodig, onder meer in Azië (15%).
