Calamiteiten, gepland onderhoud, meldingen en tientallen mensen die ervoor zorgen dat alles blijft functioneren. Jij houdt het technische overzicht. Als Technisch Manager Onderhoud ben je verantwoordelijk voor het technisch beheer en onderhoud van een groot deel van het rijkswegennet in Limburg. Je stuurt de onderhoudsorganisatie aan, bepaalt samen met je team wat wanneer moet gebeuren en zorgt dat werkzaamheden veilig en beheerst worden uitgevoerd. Dit is geen functie waarin je alleen plannen beoordeelt. Als er buiten iets gebeurt, onderhoud achterloopt of verschillende belangen botsen, ben jij degene die overzicht creëert en zorgt dat er een besluit komt. Organisatie Waarom is deze functie interessant? Omdat jouw beslissingen zichtbaar zijn op 220 kilometer rijksweg. Je bent niet verantwoordelijk voor één discipline of één los project. Je kijkt naar het geheel: wat heeft onderhoud nodig, waar zitten risico's, wat kan wachten en waar moet vandaag worden ingegrepen? Daarbij combineer je techniek met leiderschap. Je hoeft niet zelf ieder technisch detail op te lossen, maar moet wel voldoende inhoud begrijpen om specialisten uit te dagen, keuzes te maken en verantwoordelijkheid te nemen wanneer belangen botsen. En het werk stopt niet bij gepland onderhoud. Ook calamiteiten en onverwachte meldingen horen bij het contract. Juist die combinatie vraagt om iemand die onder druk overzicht houdt en ervoor zorgt dat de juiste mensen op het juiste moment in actie komen. Wat ga je doen?
