Verschoor & Bras B.V. is een scheeps- en werktuigkundig expertisebureau gevestigd in Rotterdam en maakt deel uit van Charles Taylor Adjusting Ltd, onder welke wereldwijde speler in schadeclaims, in Nederland ook Marintec Expertise B.V. op de Maasvlakte valt. Verschoor & Bras B.V. is in haar ruim 100-jarig bestaan gespecialiseerd in het behandelen van schades aan zeeschepen, binnenvaartuigen, machinerieën en technische installaties. De opdrachten worden uitgevoerd voor assuradeuren via de tussenkomst van assurantiemakelaars. Onze werkzaamheden vinden plaats in Nederland, Europa en daarbuiten. De functie Je zal na een inwerkperiode, zelfstandig onderzoek doen naar de technische en financiële omvang en het ontstaan van schades en brengt daarover rapport uit aan de opdrachtgever. Voor de vaststelling van die schades is het nodig om contacten te leggen met o.a. scheepswerven en machinefabrieken waar de reparaties worden uitgevoerd. Daarnaast behoren toestandsbeoordelingen en taxaties van schepen tot de reguliere werkzaamheden. Voor meer inzicht in hetgeen wij in de praktijk doen, kijk onder de sectie "Onze dossiers" op de website. De rapportages worden in het Nederlands, Engels of Duits gesteld. Wat vragen wij? Voor deze functie worden de volgende eisen aan je gesteld - opleidingsniveau HBO richting Marof/SWTK dan wel HTS-maritieme techniek; - ervaring in de scheepvaart; - beschikking over een zodanige technische kennis en ervaring dat situaties zelfstandig beoordeeld kunnen worden; - uitstekende mondelinge en schriftelijke uitdrukkingsvaardigheid, in tenminste de Nederlandse en Engelse taal en bij voorkeur ook in de Duitse taal; - woonachtig in de Rotterdam e/o of de bereidheid zich hier te vestigen; - flexibele inzet en bereidheid om in 24-uurs beschikbaarheid dienst uit te voeren.
