Werktuigbouwkundige systemen, elektra, constructie, regelgeving, ontwerp en engineering - jij bepaalt de koers en bent eindverantwoordelijk voor het resultaat. Je stuurt planning en budget niet volgend, maar sturend: je herkent risico's voordat ze escaleren en grijpt in voordat vertraging onomkeerbaar wordt. Wanneer leveranciers en co-builders met design en engineering komen, ben jij degene die beoordeelt of het houdt - technisch én financieel. Jouw akkoord is het laatste woord. Je bent het aanspreekpunt voor het team van de eigenaar op alles wat met techniek te maken heeft, en vertaalt wensen naar oplossingen die daadwerkelijk gebouwd kunnen worden - binnen tijd, budget en kwaliteitseisen die geen ruimte laten voor compromis. Samen met Engineering en Inkoop zorg je dat specificaties kloppen voordat er één las wordt gezet. Op de werf, en bij co-builders en zusterbedrijven, is jouw kennis de autoriteit waarop het team tijdens de afbouw vertrouwt. Het resultaat van jouw werk is niet een schip dat vaart.
