Als teeltspecialist ben je van A tot Z verantwoordelijk voor de productie van gezonde, vitale, uniforme en productieve aardbeiplanten. Je denkt mee over het plantplan en mogelijke innovaties binnen je vakgebied. Het ene moment steek je samen met je team de handen uit de mouwen in de kas, het andere moment houd je je bezig met de actuele ontwikkeling van het gewas. Het klimaat, de bemesting, het watergeven, de biologie en gewasbescherming: jij zorgt ervoor dat deze parameters altijd optimaal zijn. Daarnaast stuur je een klein team van vaste medewerkers aan, die elk verantwoordelijk zijn voor een of meerdere locaties. Jij weet deze collega's zo te begeleiden en coachen dat zij met plezier het beste uit zichzelf halen. Met een goede voorbereiding en planning van de werkzaamheden zorg je dat er efficiënt gewerkt kan worden, met de hoogst haalbare kwaliteit planten als resultaat. Je bent sparringpartner voor de Productie- en toeleveringsplanner, met wie je dagelijks overlegt.
