Jobomschrijving

Als Test Application Engineer in Genk ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerpen, voorbereiden, uitvoeren en optimaliseren van testoplossingen binnen industriële automatiseringsprojecten. Je werkt mee aan machines en turnkey installaties voor productie-, test- en assemblageprocessen en vertaalt technische klantvereisten naar betrouwbare testapplicaties en efficiënte procedures.

In deze rol werk je nauw samen met engineering, software, mechanica en projectmanagement om testprocessen functioneel en reproduceerbaar te maken. Je bewaakt de kwaliteit van de testopstelling, ondersteunt bij de integratie van hardware en software en zorgt ervoor dat systemen voldoen aan de afgesproken performantie- en kwaliteitsnormen.

Typische verantwoordelijkheden zijn onder meer:

  • Analyseren van technische specificaties en klantvereisten voor testtoepassingen.
  • Opzetten, configureren en valideren van testomgevingen en testprocedures.
  • Uitvoeren van functionele tests, foutanalyses en prestatieverificaties.
  • Optimaliseren van testflows, meetmethodes en testdekking.
  • Documenteren van testresultaten, afwijkingen en verbeteracties.
  • Ondersteunen van interne teams en klanten bij technische vragen tijdens integratie en inbedrijfname.
  • Meewerken aan continue verbetering van testconcepten, tools en standaarden.

Je krijgt een gevarieerde functie met technische diepgang, veel samenwerking met verschillende disciplines en ruimte om mee te bouwen aan hoogwaardige automatiseringsoplossingen.

Voor deze functie zoeken we een Test Application Engineer met een bachelor- of masterdiploma in elektromechanica, automatisering, elektronica, software of een vergelijkbare technische richting, aangevuld met ongeveer 3 tot 5 jaar relevante ervaring. Je hebt een sterke interesse in testautomatisering, industriële systemen en kwaliteitsgerichte technische omgevingen.

Je beschikt over een analytische en gestructureerde werkstijl en je voelt je comfortabel in een omgeving waar probleemoplossing, nauwkeurigheid en samenwerking centraal staan. Daarnaast combineer je technische expertise met voldoende communicatieve vaardigheden om af te stemmen met interne teams en klanten.

De ideale kandidaat herkent zich in het volgende profiel:

  • Ervaring met testopstellingen, validatie, troubleshooting of integratie binnen industriële automatisering.
  • Goede kennis van hardware- en softwarecomponenten in een technische omgeving.
  • Vermogen om technische specificaties te vertalen naar praktische testoplossingen.
  • Hands-on mentaliteit en oog voor kwaliteit, veiligheid en reproduceerbaarheid.
  • Sterke analytische vaardigheden en een systematische aanpak bij foutanalyse.
  • Vlotte communicatie in het Engels; kennis van Nederlands is een troef.
  • Bereidheid om samen te werken in multidisciplinaire en internationale teams.

Ervaring met industriële communicatiesystemen, automatiseringsplatformen of testsoftware is een pluspunt.
