Werk je graag buiten, ben je veel liever onderweg dan de hele dag achter een bureau en weet je op een rustige maar duidelijke manier met mensen om te gaan? Voor de Gemeente Amsterdam zoeken wij via SmartMatch meerdere Toezichthouders Openbare Ruimte. Je gaat aan de slag binnen Team Aanpak Bijplaatsingen, onderdeel van Toezicht en Handhaving Openbare Ruimte. Samen met je collega's ben je zichtbaar aanwezig in de stad en draag je bij aan de aanpak van overlast en problemen in de openbare ruimte. Wat ga je doen? Een belangrijk onderdeel van je werk is het controleren van bijplaatsingen bij afvalcontainers. Je kijkt of er afval of vuilniszakken naast de containers is geplaatst en onderzoekt waar dit vandaan komt. Daarbij kan het voorkomen dat je afvalzakken opent en de inhoud controleert op aanwijzingen waarmee te achterhalen is wie het afval heeft achtergelaten. Op basis van je bevindingen leg je de benodigde informatie vast en draag je bij aan de verdere aanpak van de overtreding. Je bent dus niet alleen zichtbaar aanwezig in de stad, maar doet ook echt onderzoekend werk . Dat vraagt om nauwkeurigheid, een praktische instelling en de bereidheid om letterlijk de handen uit de mouwen te steken. Als toezichthouder ben je veel buiten en verplaats je je tijdens je werkzaamheden onder andere op de fiets door Amsterdam. Je houdt toezicht in de openbare ruimte, signaleert bijzonderheden en spreekt mensen aan wanneer dat nodig is. Daarbij is het belangrijk dat je situaties goed kunt inschatten. Je bent klantgericht en benaderbaar, maar staat tegelijkertijd stevig in je schoenen. Je weet duidelijk te communiceren en kunt ook omgaan met weerstand of hectische situaties.
