Onze opdrachtgever is een vooraanstaande, internationale logistieke dienstverlener met een rijke historiek die teruggaat tot het begin van de 20e eeuw. Wat startte als een authentiek familiebedrijf is uitgegroeid tot een wereldwijde speler met vestigingen in onder meer Europa, Noord-Amerika en Azië. Binnen de organisatie combineren ze een diepgewortelde familiale bedrijfscultuur en korte beslissingslijnen met de slagkracht en expertise van een internationale groep. Innovatie, maatschappelijk verantwoord ondernemen en een mensgerichte aanpak staan hierbij centraal. Wat houdt de job in?

  • Het zoeken van geschikte scheepsruimte en het optimaal koppelen van ladingen van klanten.
  • Onderhandelen over tarieven en voorwaarden, offertes opstellen en bouwen aan duurzame klantrelaties.
  • Nauwgezette opvolging van lopende transporten met snelle reactie bij eventuele vertragingen of knelpunten.
  • Zorg dragen voor de correcte opmaak van transportdocumentatie (zoals cognossementen en charterpartijen) en het beheer van het complete dossier.
  • Je blijft continu op de hoogte van de markt (vrachtprijzen, waterstanden, capaciteit) en ziet toe op de naleving van internationale regelgeving.
  • Een relevante achtergrond of opleiding in logistiek/transport, bij voorkeur aangevuld met een eerste ervaring in de binnenvaartsector.
  • Kennis van de Europese waterwegen en logistieke flows (of de goesting om dit snel aan te leren).
  • Vlotte beheersing van het Nederlands in woord en geschrift, aangevuld met een goede kennis van het Frans en Engels.
  • Commercieel, onderhandelingsvaardig, stressbestendig, oplossingsgericht en organisatorisch sterk ingesteld.
  • Je bezit een gezonde drive, schakelt snel bij veranderende omstandigheden en houdt van een goede dosis teamspirit.
