The posting

Voor een internationaal actieve productieonderneming in de regio Kortrijk ben ik op zoek naar een Transport Supervisor die operationele aanwezigheid combineert met een sterk gevoel voor organisatie en efficiëntie. In deze functie neem je een centrale rol op binnen het transportgebeuren en zorg je ervoor dat goederenstromen dagelijks vlot, betrouwbaar en kostenefficiënt verlopen. Je stuurt transportactiviteiten en externe logistieke partners aan, bewaakt de kwaliteit van de dienstverlening en grijpt in wanneer processen of afspraken bijgestuurd moeten worden. Tegelijk kijk je verder dan de dagelijkse operatie: je analyseert prestaties, detecteert verbeterpunten en werkt mee aan structurele optimalisaties binnen het transportbeleid.

Hoe zal jouw takenpakket eruitzien?

  • Je coördineert de dagelijkse internationale transportactiviteiten en bewaakt een correcte en tijdige uitvoering van de verschillende zendingen.
  • Je fungeert als centraal aanspreekpunt voor transporteurs, freight forwarders en logistieke partners en volgt afspraken, prestaties en service levels nauwgezet op.
  • Je stuurt bij wanneer zich problemen voordoen rond leveringen, capaciteit, planning, transportkosten of kwaliteit.
  • Je volgt de prestaties van transportpartners op aan de hand van KPI's en bespreekt verbeteracties waar nodig.
  • Je analyseert transportkosten, volumes en operationele data en identificeert opportuniteiten om processen efficiënter en kosteneffectiever te maken.
  • Je werkt mee aan de selectie, evaluatie en onderhandeling met transportpartners en ondersteunt bij contractuele afspraken en tariefbesprekingen.
  • Je bewaakt de correcte afhandeling van import- en exporttransporten en houdt rekening met de geldende douanevereisten.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met onder andere Supply Chain, Warehousing, Aankoop, Customer Service en Finance om transportproblemen snel op te lossen.
  • Je neemt initiatief in continuous improvement-projecten rond transportplanning, kostenbeheersing, leveranciersperformance en werkmethodes.
  • Je volgt evoluties in transporttarieven, capaciteit en regelgeving op en vertaalt deze naar concrete acties binnen de organisatie.

Wat verwachten wij van jou?

  • Je beschikt over een Bachelor- of Masterdiploma in Logistiek, Supply Chain, Transportmanagement, Handelswetenschappen of een gelijkaardige richting, of bent gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
  • Je hebt enkele jaren ervaring binnen internationaal transport, logistiek of supply chain, idealiter in een productieomgeving.
