Als een van de grootste algemene ziekenhuizen van Nederland biedt Bravis een compleet pakket van medisch-specialistische zorg, zodat de inwoners voor de meeste zorg terecht kunnen in de regio. Voor specialistische behandelingen die Bravis niet zelf uitvoert werkt zij samen met andere (academische) ziekenhuizen. Samenwerking neemt een centrale plaats in, en door samenwerking tussen zorgverleners onderling, in het ziekenhuis, daarbuiten én met de patiënt wordt gezondheidswinst behaald. Bij Bravis zijn 2.857 medewerkers werkzaam. Daaronder zijn 296 medisch specialisten. De bedrijfsopbrengsten (omzet) zijn € 425 miljoen met een resultaat van ± € 12 miljoen. Adviesorganen voor de Raad van Bestuur zijn Ondernemingsraad, Cliëntenraad, Vereniging Medische Staf (VMS) en Verpleegkundige Advies Raad (VAR). Er is ook een Kinder Advies Raad (KAR). De organisatorische laag onder de Raad van Bestuur bestaat uit integraal verantwoordelijke managers die samen met de Raad van Bestuur het managementteam vormen.
