Die Medizinische Fakultät der Johannes Kepler Universität Linz (JKU) hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren erfolgreich als innovativer Standort für medizinische Lehre und Forschung etabliert. Am Institut für Medizinische Systembiologie wird ein*eine engagierte*r Bioinformatiker*in für folgendes sehr abwechslungsreiches und spannendes Aufgabengebiet gesucht:

Ihre Aufgaben: º Selbstständige Forschungsarbeit (entsprechend des Forschungsgebiets des Instituts) und Mitarbeit in Publikationsprojekten des Instituts º Anwendung statistischer Methoden und moderner Algorithmen zur Auswertung von Forschungsdaten º Visualisierung und Präsentation von Analyseergebnissen für wissenschaftliche Publikationen, Berichte und Präsentationen º Integration und Verknüpfung verschiedener Datenquellen zur Unterstützung biologischer Fragestellungen º Aktive Einwerbung von Drittmitteln º Beteiligung an infrastrukturellen und organisatorischen Aufgaben º Mitarbeit in der Lehre

Ihr Profil: º Abgeschlossenes Doktor/Ph.D.- Studium in Bioinformatik (oder einer ähnlichen Disziplin) º Sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift (Englisch Niveaustufe B2), Grundkenntnisse in Deutsch von Vorteil º Kommunikationsfähigkeit / Organisationsfähigkeit / Bereitschaft zur Teamarbeit º Selbstständige Forschungsarbeit (entsprechend des Forschungsgebiets des Instituts im Kontext mechanistischer Studien entzündlicher Erkrankungen) º Erfahrung in der Analyse und Interpretation biologischer Datensätze, insbesondere Omics-Daten (z. B. Genomik, Transkriptomik) º Kenntnisse in statistischer Datenanalyse und Datenvisualisierung º Bereits erfolgreich eingeworbene Drittmittell und Stipendien von Vorteil º Erfahrung mit gängigen Bioinformatik-Tools, Datenbanken und Analyse-Pipelines von Vorteil º Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten und hohe Affinität zu datengetriebenen Fragestellungen º Freude an interdisziplinärer Zusammenarbeit mit Fachbereichen aus Biologie, Medizin, Informatik und Statistik º Erfahrung in der Integration unterschiedlicher Omics-Datensätze sowie Regulator inference
