- Een afgeronde mbo-4-opleiding in (Scheeps)Werktuigbouwkunde. - Ervaring met rotating equipment zoals gasturbines, dieselmotoren, pompen en compressoren, bijvoorbeeld als mechanic of monteur in een industriële of petrochemische omgeving. - Kennis van hydrauliek en pneumatiek. - Een gezond lijf, want om zeker te zijn dat je dit werk veilig kunt uitvoeren, word je medisch gekeurd.

Wat doet een offshore operator mechanic? Het ophalen van olie en gas uit de zee is alleen succesvol als tientallen systemen en installaties elke dag goed draaien. Als operator mechanic voer je onderhoud uit aan gas- en dieselmotoren, gasturbines, pompen en compressoren. Je werkt met het onderhoudssysteem Maximo om storingen op te lossen of om onderdelen te bestellen. Vanuit de centrale controlekamer stuur je bij waar nodig, zodat de productie altijd ongestoord kan doorgaan. Je maakt werkvergunningen aan, begeleidt nieuwe medewerkers en bent verantwoordelijk voor de logistiek. Veiligheid is daarbij het allerbelangrijkste: voor jezelf, je collega's en het productieproces.

Jouw nieuwe ritme? 2 weken op en 2 weken af. Dat betekent dat je 2 weken 12 uur per dag werkt op het productieplatform. Daarna ben je 2 weken vrij, betaald!
