Van hondenvoer tot knaagdieren, van kattenbakvulling tot verzorgingsproducten: jij weet waarover je praat. Voor een gevestigde tuin- en dierenspeciaalzaak zoeken we een verantwoordelijke voor de dierenafdeling. Iemand met een stevige dosis vakkennis die klanten op een professionele manier kan adviseren, maar ook het overzicht bewaart over de dagelijkse werking van de afdeling. Dit is een functie voor iemand die al een aantal jaren in de sector staat. Ervaring is hier geen pluspunt, maar een vereiste. We zoeken iemand met ongeveer 5 jaar ervaring in een dierenwinkel, dierenspeciaalzaak, tuincentrum of een vergelijkbare omgeving.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheid

Je zorgt ervoor dat klanten met het juiste advies én het juiste product naar huis gaan. Tegelijk bewaak je de commerciële en praktische werking van jouw afdeling. Je zal onder meer:

  • Klanten adviseren over voeding, verzorging en benodigdheden voor honden, katten, knaagdieren, vogels en andere huisdieren
  • Het assortiment en de product beschikbaarheid opvolgen
  • Bestellingen plaatsen en leverancierscontacten mee opvolgen
  • Leveringen controleren en goederen correct verwerken
  • Voorraad en stockniveaus bewaken
  • Promoties en commerciële acties mee vormgeven
  • Instaan voor een aantrekkelijke winkelpresentatie
  • Toezien op orde, netheid en correcte prijszetting
  • Het welzijn en de correcte verzorging van aanwezige dieren mee bewaken
  • Collega's ondersteunen en aanspreken waar nodig
  • Nieuwe collega's wegwijs maken binnen de afdeling
  • Zelf meewerken in de winkel en klanten helpen
  • Commerciële kansen signaleren en voorstellen doen om de afdeling verder te laten groeien

We zoeken iemand die de dierenwereld echt kent en die kennis ook kan vertalen naar goed klantenadvies.

Je beschikt over:

  • Ongeveer 5 jaar relevante werkervaring
  • Een sterke product- en dierenkennis
  • Ervaring binnen retail, dierenvoeding, dierenspeciaalzaak of een gelijkaardige sector
  • Een klantgerichte en commerciële ingesteldheid
  • Een zelfstandige en verantwoordelijke werkhouding
  • Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden
  • Organisatietalent en oog voor detail
  • Een hands-on mentaliteit
  • De nodige maturiteit om collega's mee te ondersteunen en de afdeling op te volgen
  • Flexibiliteit om op zaterdag te werken
  • Ervaring met voorraadbeheer, bestellingen en commerciële opvolging is uiteraard mooi meegenomen.
