Bepaal wekelijks je werkdagen, werk gemiddeld 24 uur (meer of minder kan), verdien €2.600-€2.690 bruto p/m en pak toeslagen. Functieomschrijving Als verkeersregelaar in Zoetermeer zorg jij ervoor dat verkeer veilig en soepel blijft doorstromen. Je staat op kruispunten, bij wegwerkzaamheden, tijdens evenementen of bij onverwachte situaties op de weg. Je werkt buiten, dus je moet het prima vinden om in weer en wind te staan. Juist dat maakt het werk afwisselend: je komt steeds op andere plekken, hebt contact met veel verschillende mensen en je ziet direct dat jouw inzet verschil maakt voor de veiligheid. Het fijne aan deze baan is de flexibiliteit. Je bepaalt wekelijks zelf op welke dagen je werkt. Fulltime werken is mogelijk, maar gemiddeld 24 uur per week mag ook. De ene week 16 uur en de andere week 32 uur werken kan dus prima, zolang je dit vooraf goed afstemt. Daardoor is het werk als verkeersregelaar ideaal te combineren met je gezinsleven, vrije tijd of hobby's. Je werkt in ochtend-, avond- of nachtdiensten en weekenddiensten komen voor, maar op feestdagen ben je altijd vrij. In je werk ben je verantwoordelijk voor het regelen van verkeer, het veilig begeleiden van weggebruikers en het duidelijk communiceren met automobilisten, fietsers en voetgangers. Je houdt overzicht, blijft rustig als het druk is en schakelt snel als de situatie verandert. Je werkt zelfstandig, maar je staat er niet alleen voor: je krijgt duidelijke instructies en je kunt altijd terugvallen op afspraken en ondersteuning. Omdat je op wisselende locaties werkt, kan het ook voorkomen dat je soms buiten Zoetermeer wordt ingezet, afhankelijk van de planning.
