Soms zit de hulpvraag niet alleen bij het kind

Een kind van acht dat volledig vastloopt. Thuis gaat het niet meer, op school evenmin en eerdere behandeling heeft onvoldoende geholpen. Wat speelt er écht? En vooral: wat is er nodig om weer beweging te krijgen?

In deze functie krijg je te maken met kinderen van 4 tot 12 jaar met complexe psychiatrische problematiek. Denk aan trauma, hechtingsproblematiek, ASS en ADHD. Geen eenvoudige behandeltrajecten dus, maar juist situaties waarin jouw klinische blik als Verpleegkundig Specialist GGZ het verschil maakt.

Je kijkt daarbij verder dan alleen een diagnose. Naar het kind, het gezin, de ontwikkeling én de omgeving.

Wat maakt deze functie anders?

Je werkt binnen een specialistische kinderkliniek in Barendrecht, waar kinderen tijdelijk verblijven wanneer ambulante behandeling niet voldoende is.

Binnen de kliniek zijn drie verschillende behandelgroepen. Sommige kinderen verblijven er relatief kort voor observatie en behandeling, terwijl andere kinderen een langer behandeltraject volgen. De groepen bestaan uit maximaal acht kinderen en waar mogelijk blijven kinderen verbonden met thuis.

Het uitgangspunt is namelijk niet: een kind opnemen en het probleem overnemen.

Het doel is juist om samen te onderzoeken wat nodig is om een kind en gezin weer verder te helpen.

Jouw rol

Als Verpleegkundig Specialist GGZ ben je regiebehandelaar, maar zeker niet alleen degene die op afstand de lijnen uitzet.

Je bent inhoudelijk betrokken bij het volledige behandelproces. Je voert intakes uit, doet diagnostiek, behandelt en evalueert. Waar nodig zet je farmacotherapie in en bewaak je de werking en veiligheid daarvan.

Daarnaast:

- werk je intensief samen met ouders/verzorgers en andere betrokkenen rondom het kind; - neem je deel aan multidisciplinaire overleggen; - geef je verpleegkundig specialistische behandeling; - denk je mee over behandelbeleid en methodieken; - bege
