Opdracht:

Met het hart op de juiste plaats in teamverband met andere verpleegkundigen en zorgkundigen een volwaardig thuismilieu voor de bewoners scheppen waar optimale hulp en verzorging gekoppeld wordt aan een zo comfortabel mogelijk verblijf

Plaats in de organisatie:

• rapporteert aan de hoofdverpleegkundige van de betrokken afdeling

• coördineert mee waar nodig de werkzaamheden van zorgkundigen

Taken:

• uitvoeren van de verzorging en verpleging van de bewoners conform de geëigende procedures en voorschriften, dit omvat de algehele bijstand inzake ADL en IADL voor de bewoners

• uitvoeren van specifiek verpleegkundige handelingen

• aandachtspersoon zijn voor een aantal bewoners

• signaleren van noden en evoluties van bewoners

• uitvoeren van de noodzakelijke administratieve taken

• aandacht geven aan leefomgeving

• aandacht geven aan de familieleden van de bewoners

• palliatieve hulpverlening bieden wanneer nodig en/of gewenst

• actief participeren in overlegvergaderingen

• aandacht geven aan de nodige kwaliteitsaspecten van de werking

• vervangen van de hoofdverpleegkundige bij diens afwezigheid

Verantwoordelijkheden en bevoegdheden:

• de verpleegkundige is de hoogste in rang die de effectieve verzorging en verpleging van de bewoners uitvoert conform de vaktechniek

• samen met de collega's dient in teamverband naar een optimale werking voor de bewoners gestreefd te worden

• de acties gebeuren in nauw overleg met de hoofdverpleegkundige

• Alle belangrijke observaties noteren in het zorgdossier

Samenwerking en overleg:

• de werkzaamheden op de afdeling gebeuren in teamverband, wat niet uitsluit dat ieder personeelslid zijn eigen verantwoordelijkheid ten aanzien van de toegewezen bewoners heeft, in ieder geval zal er voldoende met de collega's moeten gecoördineerd worden zodat een kwalitatieve verpleging en verzorging dagelijks kan gegarandeerd worden

• op regelmatige tijdstippen kan deelgenomen worden aan het overleg op afdelingsbasis of aan het interdisciplinair overleg
