De functie Als verpleegkundige op de polikliniek Urologie werk je in een dynamische omgeving. Door de diversiteit van onze patiënten en de verschillende onderzoeken en behandelingen is jouw werk afwisselend en uitdagend. Het specialisme urologie is volop in ontwikkeling en speelt een belangrijke rol binnen het hele ziekenhuis. Hierbij staat de zorg voor de patiënt altijd voorop. Je hebt direct en indirect contact met patiënten en draait zelfstandig spreekuren, zowel op locatie als telefonisch. Daarnaast bereid je urologische onderzoeken en behandelingen voor, begeleid je patiënten en voer je onderzoeken uit. Ook assisteer je bij behandelingen en beantwoord je medisch- en verpleegkundig-inhoudelijke vragen van patiënten. Verder geef je voorlichting en instructies en verricht je administratieve en planningstaken. Je stemt jouw werkzaamheden dagelijks af met collega's en neemt deel aan periodieke werkoverleggen. Ook heb je contact met onder andere huisartsen, doktersassistenten, medewerkers van andere zorginstellingen en patiënten en hun begeleiders. Binnen de polikliniek ben je allround en locatie-overstijgend inzetbaar. Het team De polikliniek Urologie heeft een afdeling waar verschillende onderzoeken en behandelingen plaatsvinden. Op iedere locatie werk je nauw samen met doktersassistenten, verpleegkundigen, medisch secretaresses, physician assistants, oncologieverpleegkundigen en urologen. We werken samen aan deskundige en persoonlijke zorg voor onze patiënten. Door de verschillende disciplines binnen het team zijn de lijnen kort en kunnen we onze werkzaamheden goed op elkaar afstemmen.
