Als grootste universitaire ziekenhuis van België wil UZ Leuven grenzen verleggen door gespecialiseerde zorg en innovatieve behandelingen te combineren met menselijke aandacht en respect voor elke persoon.

Verleg grenzen binnen onze afdelingen ouderzorg of geriatrie

De afdelingen acute geriatrie op campus Gasthuisberg staan in voor diagnose, behandeling en opvolging van patiënten met acute ouderdom gebonden pathologie vanaf 75 jaar. Tijdens de opname streven we ernaar de functionele toestand van de patiënt maximaal te verbeteren zodat terugkeer naar de vertrouwde omgeving mogelijk wordt. Soms is dit echter niet mogelijk en focussen we ons op comfort en palliatieve zorg voor de patiënt.

Naast de acute geriatrische afdelingen beschikt UZ Leuven ook over een revalidatie afdeling geriatrie op campus Pellenberg. Deze afdeling is gespecialiseerd in algemene revalidatie of revalidatie na een fractuur. Ook patiënten met een niet-aangeboren hersenletsel komen op deze afdeling terecht voor revalidatie.

Binnen deze cluster afdelingen zijn er vacatures op volgende afdelingen:

  • Hospitalisatie 34, 35 en 40: acute geriatrie op Campus Gasthuisberg
  • Mobiele equipe zone inwendige

Het is zinvol jouw voorkeur(en) reeds duidelijk te maken. Op die manier kunnen we een gericht selectieproces opstarten en een passend aanbod doen. Wanneer je geen duidelijke voorkeur(en) hebt of je niet meteen de vacature vindt die je aanspreekt, solliciteer dan spontaan als verpleegkundige. Vanuit onze kennis en expertise gaan we zorgvuldig mee op zoek naar de functie en afdeling die het best bij je past.

Tenzij expliciet vermeld bij de afdeling betreffen dit steeds voltijdse contracten van onbepaalde duur. Werk je liever deeltijds, dan is dit altijd bespreekbaar. Indien je 50% wenst te werken, kan dit binnen acute geriatrie ook in één reeks per maand. Je werkt in een variabel shiftensysteem van vroege (7u - 15u21) en late (13u54 - 22u) shiften, en 1 op 2 weekends.

Hoe verleg je grenzen?

  • Je draagt bij aan de toekomstige visie op geriatrie in ons ziekenhuis.
  • Samen met je team sta je in voor de totaalzorg van de patiënten, ben je verantwoordelijk voor de dagelijkse organisatie en verpleegkundige zorg.
  • Je functioneert als belangrijke schakel binnen een multidisciplinair team van artsen, verpleegkundigen, zorgkundigen, logistiek medewerkers en paramedici.
  • Je begeleidt nieuwe medewerkers en studenten en geeft zo kennis en deskundigheid door.
  • Je draagt kwaliteitszorg hoog in het vaandel en wil een bijdrage leveren om deze verder uit te bouwen.
  • Je wil voortdurend bijleren en houdt je eigen kennis en deskundigheid up-to-date. Indien gewenst kan je je specialiseren in bepaalde geriatrische topics.

Wat heb je daarvoor nodig?

  • Je bent bachelor verpleegkundige, gegradueerde HBO5 verpleegkundige, basisverpleegkundige of je behaalt binnenkort je diploma.
  • Een patiëntgerichte aanpak en oog voor kwaliteitszorg.
  • Goede probleemoplossende en organisatorische skills.
  • Zin voor initiatief en teamwork.
  • Een integere, discrete en leergierige houding.
