Doordat wij regelmatig contact met jou hebben, ben jij altijd op de hoogte van de openstaande diensten. En welke diensten jij draait, bepaal jij zelf. Zo draai jij alleen die diensten die jou écht energie geven! Werkzaamheden van een verpleegkundige in Markelo bij Van A tot P Vandaag ben jij het aanspreekpunt voor de medewerkers op de afdeling. Zij kunnen bij jou terecht voor vragen, verpleegkundige handelingen, maar ook voor advies. Samenwerking en besluitvorming Terwijl jouw dienst net is begonnen, krijg je een telefoontje met het verzoek om mee te denken over de situatie van meneer Moerkotte. Zijn gezondheid gaat iedere dag achteruit, en samen met het vaste team bel je de arts. Deze komt ook naar de afdeling en samen met de familie bespreken jullie de situatie. Jij legt zijn kinderen uit wat er gaande is, terwijl de arts zijn advies geeft. Meneer is terminaal en onrustig en met toestemming van de familie starten jullie met de sedatie. Je roept even een collega erbij, want ook voor jou blijft dit een spannend moment. Samen controleren jullie de medicatie en stellen de pomp in. Dan is het aan jou om het naaldje te plaatsen. Alles verloopt soepel en je observeert de situatie nog even op afstand terwijl de familie rondom het bed van meneer Moerkotte zit. Wanneer je terugloopt, merk je dat er toch nog wat spanning in je lijf zit en je besluit even rustig thee te drinken met de bewoners. Daarna staan er enkele afspraken op de agenda voor handelingen die de verzorgende IG'ers niet mogen uitvoeren. Je gaat naar mevrouw Tahiri, die drie weken geleden haar been heeft gesto...
