The posting

Voor een project binnen de afdeling Geriatrie zijn we op zoek naar een verpleegkundige die tijdelijk wil ondersteunen binnen een gespecialiseerde ziekenhuisomgeving.

Je komt terecht op een afdeling waar je instaat voor de zorg en opvolging van oudere patiënten met vaak complexe en meervoudige zorgnoden. Je combineert verpleegtechnische zorg met observatie, klinisch redeneren en een brede, patiëntgerichte kijk.

Binnen geriatrie heb je niet alleen aandacht voor de medische zorgvraag, maar ook voor het functioneren, herstel en welzijn van de patiënt.

Jouw takenpakket omvat onder andere:

  • Verlenen van kwalitatieve en integrale verpleegkundige zorg aan geriatrische patiënten
  • Uitvoeren van verpleegtechnische handelingen en correct toedienen van medicatie
  • Observeren, opvolgen en tijdig signaleren van veranderingen in de gezondheidstoestand
  • Opstellen, uitvoeren en evalueren van het verpleegkundig zorgplan
  • Begeleiden en informeren van patiënten en hun familie tijdens de opname
  • Samenwerken binnen een multidisciplinair team van artsen, kinesitherapeuten, ergotherapeuten, sociale dienst en collega-verpleegkundigen
  • Correct registreren en rapporteren in het patiëntendossier
  • Actief bijdragen aan veilige, kwaliteitsvolle en patiëntgerichte zorg

Je werkt binnen een afdeling waar uitdaging, samenwerking en warme zorg centraal staan en waar je dagelijks mee het verschil maakt voor patiënten in een kwetsbare fase van hun zorgtraject.

Je werkt in een vroeg-/laatstelsel met 1 op 2 weekends.

Voor dit project zoeken we een verpleegkundige die zich goed voelt in een uitdagende ziekenhuisomgeving en graag werkt met oudere patiënten met vaak complexe zorgnoden.

Wat verwachten we van jou?

  • Je beschikt over een diploma verpleegkunde (HBO5 of bachelor) en een geldig visum
  • Je hebt een passie voor het geriatrische patiëntenprofiel en haalt energie uit persoonsgerichte zorg
  • Ervaring binnen een ziekenhuissetting is een pluspunt
  • Ervaring met of affiniteit voor geriatrische zorg is een sterke meerwaarde
  • Kennis van KWS is een pluspunt
  • Je hebt een sterke observatiezin en klinische blik en kan veranderingen in de gezondheidstoestand tijdig detecteren en correct inschatten
  • Je combineert zelfstandigheid met een vlotte samenwerking binnen een multidisciplinair team
  • Je communiceert professioneel en respectvol met patiënten, familie en collega’s
  • Je hebt aandacht voor zowel de medische, functionele als psychosociale noden van de patiënt
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en draagt actief bij aan kwalitatieve en veilige zorg
  • Je bent flexibel en bereid te werken in een vroeg-/laatstelsel met 1 op 2 weekends

We zoeken een verpleegkundige die energie haalt uit uitdaging, teamwork en warme zorg, en die graag meewerkt aan een omgeving waar de patiënt als mens centraal staat.
