The posting

Voor een ziekenhuis regio Waasland zijn we op zoek naar een verpleegkundige die tijdelijk wil ondersteunen op de afdeling Heelkunde 567.

Je komt terecht op een dynamische chirurgische afdeling waar verschillende specialisaties samenkomen: orthopedie, oftalmologie, plastische heelkunde en NKO. Je begeleidt zowel patiënten die een geplande ingreep ondergaan als traumapatiënten die nood hebben aan een snelle en deskundige opvolging.

Door de combinatie van verschillende disciplines krijg je de kans om veel variatie te ervaren, je klinische blik verder aan te scherpen en ervaring op te bouwen binnen uiteenlopende patiëntentrajecten.

Jouw takenpakket omvat onder andere:

  • Verlenen van kwalitatieve en integrale verpleegkundige zorg aan patiënten
  • Uitvoeren van verpleegtechnische handelingen en correct toedienen van medicatie
  • Opvolgen van patiënten voor en na chirurgische ingrepen
  • Verzorging en observatie van traumapatiënten (o.a. wonden, breuken en letsels)
  • Informeren en begeleiden van patiënten en hun familie
  • Correct registreren en rapporteren in het patiëntendossier
  • Samenwerken binnen een multidisciplinair team van artsen, verpleegkundigen en andere disciplines
  • Mee bijdragen aan een veilige, efficiënte en patiëntgerichte werking van de afdeling

Je werkt binnen een afdeling waar variatie, samenwerking en kwalitatieve zorg centraal staan en krijgt de kans om jouw kennis verder uit te bouwen binnen een brede chirurgische context.

  • Je beschikt over een diploma verpleegkunde (HBO5 of bachelor) en een geldig visum
  • Ervaring binnen een ziekenhuissetting
  • Interesse in of affiniteit met heelkunde, orthopedie, oftalmologie, plastische heelkunde, NKO en/of traumatologie
  • Je hebt een goede klinische blik en kan patiënten nauwkeurig observeren en opvolgen
  • Je werkt zelfstandig, maar functioneert ook sterk binnen een multidisciplinair team
  • Je bent leergierig en staat open om je verder te verdiepen in de pathologieën en werking van de afdeling
  • Je communiceert vlot en professioneel met patiënten, familie en collega’s
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en hebt oog voor kwalitatieve en patiëntgerichte zorg
  • Je bent flexibel en kan je aanpassen aan de noden en dynamiek van de afdeling

Ervaring binnen een chirurgische afdeling is een pluspunt, maar motivatie, leergierigheid en een sterke verpleegkundige basis vinden we minstens even belangrijk.
